    New Student Registration

    Enrollment September 2025

Thanks to all the families who pre-enrolled before the deadline to help our school get ready for 2025–26!

We’re happy to let you know that, based on available space, all students who registered or pre-enrolled before March 19, 2025, have been accepted. We look forward to seeing your family in the fall!

For the 2025 - 2026 school year, Hardisty School is full in planned classes in Grade 4 and Grade 6 (Regular/Community).  A Kindergarten student who is a resident and lives in the school's attendance area may still register (see below).    We will now only accept resident students in Grades 2, 4 and 6 whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have newly moved into the school’s attendance area for the regular program. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.

Jr High Option selection will be coordinated with your current home school toward the end of May.

If you are registering for Kindergarten or are new to Edmonton Public Schools, you must register online.

    KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

Kindergarten registration begins on February 3, 2025. Families register online for the 2025-26 school year. Learn more about Kindergarten registration on epsb.ca.

Kindergarten registrations are not based on a first-come, first-served basis. Schools can only assign students to classes after pre-enrolment closes on March 19.

When assigning students, the principal is responsible for organizing classes to meet the needs of all students within the school.

On your registration form, parents are asked to indicate either Regular or Logos Christian Kindergarten for students registering in Kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year.

    Kindergarten Age Requirement
Children who are five years old on or before December 31, 2025 may register in Kindergarten for the 2025-26 school year. The Alberta government changed the entry age for students registering in Kindergarten, beginning in 2020-21.

Edmonton Public Schools’ Logos Christian Program 2025-26 Enrolment Information

Are you ready to have your child be part of a faith-based, non-denominational Christian approach to learning? The following information will help you register/enrol in your local Logos Christian program school.

    Step 1: Prepare documents

Prepare digital copies of the following documents:

    • legal proof of the student’s name, citizenship/immigration status and birthdate; and
    • the address for where you live.

Step 2: Complete registration or pre-enrolment

Step 3: Complete the Edmonton Logos Society documentation (ex., Society membership)

    • The mission of the Edmonton Logos Society is to actively support Logos schools to effectively train and equip students through Christ-centered teaching to be the “salt” and “light of the world” (Matthew 5: 13,14). Go to the Edmonton Logos Society website to learn more and to complete the membership forms.

    Step 4: After March 19

    • The school will share with families whether they were accepted into planned classes or not, by April 11, 2025.
    • If the student was not accepted due to full in planned classes, the school will work with you to discuss options and provide a form to indicate your second choice of school. Your child will be eligible to attend their designated school or any other Division school with available space.

ONLINE LEARNING AVAILABLE AT ARGYLL CENTRE

Families of Grade 1–12 students who would like their child to learn online in 2025–26 can register or pre-enrol at Argyll Centre. Online learning will not be available at other Division schools. Families who choose Argyll Centre will not be connected to their current or designated school and may not be guaranteed a space there the following year.

    PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

    Dear Hardisty Families,

It is an honour and a privilege to welcome you to a new year at Hardisty School.  I know we are already a few weeks in but I am thrilled to join the Hardisty school community and look forward to getting to know our families and school programs.

Hardisty is an inclusive school setting.  We are committed to building citizenship, enhancing literacy skills and ensuring a strong sense of belonging for all students and families.  Hardisty is home to  five division programs; Community, Logos, Interactions, Extensions and Individualized Student Support.  What a great opportunity to celebrate diversity in an inclusive school setting!

At Hardisty, our 3R’s - Respect, Responsibility, Relationships are front and center in our minds and hearts. The 3 R’s serve as a basis for our decision making and how we interact as a school community.  If we focus on building relationships that create a positive, supportive and caring learning environment for all, the other 2 R’s will fall into place.

I encourage all parents to take an active role in their child’s education by reading with them daily, attending school events, getting involved with the school council and checking SchoolZone regularly for class and school updates. Our primary means of communication will continue to be SchoolZone. School news and events are posted as information becomes available.

I look forward to working with the Hardisty school teaching and support team to facilitate a successful, engaging and meaningful learning experience for your children.  If you see me in the hallway, please stop by and say hello!
